This show is a tabletop role-playing, actual-play podcast where a bunch of nerdy disabled players play Dungeons and Dragons (and other TTRPGs, too). It is led by our Dungeon Master, Steve Saylor.
But it’s more than that.
This show is dedicated to the disabled community who loves TTRPGs. We want to show the best representation, not only in the simplest of terms, having a space for us to play, but also showcasing how characters in these worlds can be disabled heroes (or villains) and aren’t just stereotypes.
As this show evolves, we will probably make mistakes and fudge a few rules here and there, but we do so with the best intentions possible and are willing to learn from our mistakes. Of course, we are not always experts on the disabilities we do not personally have, but we strive to learn and be the best place where disabled folks are seen and heard. So please let us know what we can do to improve and if you have suggestions on cool gameplay mechanics for our future games, feel free to contact us.
Our show has two rules:
That everyone who sits at our table has a disability, either visible or invisible.
The players can play as a disabled or a non-disabled character.
Also, have fun.
Okay, so that’s three, but stories are constantly changing at the table, right?
We hope you’ll join us along our journey, and let’s create some great stories together!
What is this show?
-
Jennifer Kretcher has an amazing Google Doc with many links to resources on running an accessible table. You can look at the free doc here or support her work on Patreon here.
-
This is an amazing panel run by the RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) in the UK. You can watch the panel here
-
A Tumblr user called sleepyspoonie compiled a list of almost all forms of disability and incorporated them into D&D mechanics. You can check out the full blog post here.

Created by Mark Thompson, and you might have seen this used in The Mighty Nein Campaign on Critical Role, the combat wheelchair is a FANTASTIC module on incorporating wheelchairs into D&D. MaYk has also incorporated the Combat Wheelchair into other TTRPGs too. If you want to keep up with his work, follow him here. You can find all Combat Wheelchair mechanics here.
We’re still building out this section of our site, but we want to give credit to those folks and link to resources that we are using at our table.
